Pakachoag Theatre Company is a kid-led production for grades 2 through 8. The students build the show themselves, and director Lori Hawke guides them through it. We run the program in partnership with Emanuel Lutheran Church in Worcester’s Quinsigamond Village.
What to expect: This is theatre with music, not musical theatre. Your child doesn’t need to be a singer or a dancer to belong here.
Together, students:
Work as part of a company where every role matters
Learn how a stage works, and how to move on one
Find their voice, and learn to project it
Put expression together with music and movement
Lori assigns parts based on each student’s experience and readiness.
Not ready to be on stage? That’s fine. We need stage hands and scenery designers too, and they’re just as much part of the company.
Rehearsals are built around the show date, so we don’t schedule make-ups for illness or weather.
Location: Everything happens in Emanuel Lutheran Church’s fellowship hall. There’s plenty of off-street parking, and the entrance and hall are accessible.

Emanuel Lutheran sits on the edge of Quinsigamond Village near the Auburn town line, at Greenwood and Upland, close to the Route 20/146 interchange and I-290 at Holy Cross.
This is a community partnership, not a religious one. Classes are entirely theatre and music. Everyone is welcome, whatever your family believes.
