David Silveira

David Silveira started playing guitar at a young age, quickly developing a passion for all styles of music. Fortunate enough to have quality teachers, privately and with a well-developed school music program, he was able to learn music theory, music composition and instrument performance, creating a lifelong passion for music and a strong belief that music can be a powerful and positive influence on a young person's life.

David studied jazz and rock/pop guitar with Robert Ferrier and classical guitar with Phillip de Fremery, continuing to study with both through college, and with Mr. de Fremery through graduate school. Furthering his classical guitar study, he attended summer master classes with Mr. de Fremery and Benjamin Verdery.

He attended the University of Massachusetts, where he completed a Master of Arts degree in Music Composition and Theory. Passionate about music and its transformative power, he maintained his passion throughout a professional career in Information Technology, returningnow to music with a commitment to help foster that passion in others.
