Viola | Pakachoag Music School

Viola Lessons are available for students aged 6 and up in Worcester and West Boylston.

The viola is a bowed string instrument. It is slightly larger than a violin in size and has a deeper sound. Since the 18th century it has been the middle voice of the violin family, between the violin and the cello.

Pakachoag accepts students of all levels, beginners to advanced. Our School Director will work with you to determine the best placement in terms of schedules, musical interests and individual goals.

While lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis during the school year, we will consider accepting adult students on an every-other-week basis if scheduling permits.

Summer lessons are available on an individual basis according to student and teacher availability. Please contact the office in April or May for information regarding summer lesson availability.

Pakachoag currently has four string teachers available to teach viola on staff. Lessons are offered all days of the week for this instrument, Monday to Friday, during after-school and evening hours. Morning or Saturday lessons may also be available according to individual teacher schedules.
