Come Play!

Our Fiddle Band and Jr. Fiddle Band students have a lot of fun playing together, participating in school and outreach concerts, and learning new music.

Here’s is a sampling of our fiddle group in performance from Spring 2016:

Open to all ages, by audition:

This group performs frequently so it is best if you have experience with fiddle tunes and learn well by ear.  The audition is quick and easy; and helps us assess if you can fit right in or need a additional preparation to be ready.

What to Expect

Why this ensemble may be for You:

  • A great way to enjoy ensemble playing and work with a collaborative/congenial group of violinists without needing to make a significant scheduling commitment.
  • These groups generally perform at least once each semester. This includes a performance at a school recital and sometimes an additional outreach, off-site performance.
  • In past years, the Fiddle Band has been featured in concerts at the Worcester Art Museum, the Hanover Theatre, the Fitchburg Public Library Performing Arts Series, Mechanics Hall, at First Night Worcester, and for Pakachoag fundraising events.
