Performance Dates:

Fall Production: The Big Chill

It's not always just the students who hope for a snow day at your school, right? What would YOU do on a snow day? Different ideas and hopes are explored! In this fun-filled mini-musical with a witty rhyming script, the students and the faculty are both pleasantly surprised to learn that they share this common wintertime wish.

Friday
December 10
7:00 p.m.

Spring Production: A Barnyard Moosical

Come meet a unique and talented group of animals living at an unsuual farm. Between the gourmet goats that refuse to eat garbage; a chorus line of hoofing cows; neatnik pigs; and funky dancing chickens, this musical will be sure to tickle the imagination and funny bone of performers and audiences alike.

Friday
April 15
7:00 p.m.

No regularly scheduled classes during school vacations/holidays.

With the rehearsal of each semester’s production serving as the main focus, the instructor leads students in theater games, and improvisational and singing exercises designed to develop each child’s performing skills. Team building exercises and interactive games are used to engage children in working together creatively. The instructor assigns each student a role based on both their interest and skill level, and provides support throughout the semester in helping each student develop their character.

Older, more experienced students may be asked to assume mentoring positions for some of the younger students, with everyone given ample opportunity for their own growth and development.

This program runs for up to 24 weeks for the duration of the school year (through April or early May). Registrations will be accepted during the course of the school year if space permits. Please call the office regarding mid-year registration and tuition.

Please note:   Because this program is tied to set showcase dates, we do not schedule make-ups for snow days, teacher sickness or student absences.

Musical theatre supports children in working as part of a team, encouraging cooperation and sensitivity toward others. In addition to having a good time, students discover naturally, as part of the process, how to problem solve and improve their listening skills.
