Performance Classes: The Focal Point for Learning
Scheduled once or twice each month (Oct. – May), Performance Classes offer students an opportunity to gain poise and self-confidence in a relaxed setting in preparation for the more formal recital experience. A school accompanist is available for pre-performance class rehearsals for instrumentalists and vocalists, with additional rehearsal time available for an additional fee.
Most classes are scheduled on Monday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. or later. Pre-class accompanist rehearsal slots are available with advance sign up, from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m.
Classes are also scheduled occasionally on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Check the School Calendar page for anticipated class dates throughout the academic year.
If you have an interest in participating (for yourself or child), please speak with your private instruction teacher, and read the performance class participation information posted on the Current Students page.
While participation in these classes is free of charge, a $15 no-show/cancellation fee is applied when cancelling within one week of the scheduled class or rehearsal. This fee is to help parents remember that teachers, staff and other families are negatively impacted by cancellations or no-shows after the final schedules are posted.
